I was part of a team asked to redesign the forms used by Metropolitan State University to coordinate payments to student workers. The old forms were done in Microsoft Excel and had no branding, no flow, and very little space in which to write. My team put the university name and logo on every form, created helpful illustrations and made the forms electronically accessible.
The Green Institute was an innovator in developing working community ecological programs for energy, recycling, and green building practices. They needed a flyer that gave potential clients and donors an overview of their work. I was given their logo, some photographs, and the text they wanted to include. I used the logo to make a stylized watermark and picked up colors from the logo and the pictures to highlight important blocks of text.
